We
envisage a thriving network of community gardens in schools
and other communities throughout Queensland. We focus on community
building and gardening in order to address the issues of sustainability,
food security and nutrition. By
working closely with a wide range of people, we seek to develop
accessible solutions for them to tackle these big issues.
We offer practical and transferable models of set-up, training,
follow-through and evaluation that ensure the long-term sustainability
of community gardens. Our work is based around permaculture
and encouraging the development of sustainable agricultural
practices in urban areas and promoting the cultural richness
of food, plants and people. |
