Growing Curriculum
The scope of the garden as a curriculum organiser and learning space is immense.
It provides fertile ground for young people to build their knowledge and understanding of sustainable systems, develop their skills and capabilities in critical thinking and problem-solving, and examine their social and environmental values and attitudes. It does so by providing the physical and pedagogical space for developing sustained projects and learning tasks that require students to act and participate – to deal critically and practically with social, environmental, cultural and economic problems and solutions.
